Are Lab-created Gemstones Real or Fake?

Lab-created Gemstones or lab created sapphire price are quite a controversial topic these days. This is because a majority of people referred to them as tainted pieces or fake jewelry that are not high quality. The light needs to reveal the truth behind these precious-looking, inexpensive pieces of jewelry regardless of your stance on this issue.

Synthetically created gemstones are not fake. In all actuality, they are made of the same components as natural birthstones. However, they do not take as long to mature. You see, it takes a long time for gemstones to naturally mature or form in the earth. So, scientists have figured out a way to create these precious stones in a quarter of the time. So when you think of it this way, they are not really fake.

Basically what all of this boils down to is that lab-created birthstones are cheaper than natural ones. If you have been to a jewelry store lately, then you are more than likely well aware of what synthetically created gemstone rings look like. Ironically, it just so happens that the lab-created birthstone rings look a lot better than the natural gemstone rings. Does that sound right to you? The next time that you are in the jewelry store, take a look at a lab-created ruby ring and then a natural one, and then decide for yourself which one looks better.

In my personal opinion, there is a big difference. Lab-created ruby look ten times clearer and prettier. Not to mention that laboratory-created birthstone rings are only a fraction of the cost of natural stones. Surely this will be a conversation piece for many years. People will argue whether they are really the same or are just fake pieces of junk.

Some Lab-Created Gemstones are as follows:

  1. Lab-created Emerald- Lab emerald is not a natural emerald but it is a real emerald. Synthetic emerald counted in the most expensive synthetic gems. In labs the method used to create them require expensive equipment. It is an energy-intensive and slow process. The yield of face table material is also low.

  1. Lab-created Sapphire- For lab-grown sapphire, there are two types of methods which are solution processes and melt processes. In the solution process, sapphire crystals are grown in a solution whereas, the melting process involves melting aluminum oxide into a sapphire droplet. Sometimes, these gemstones possess nearly perfect and better quality than the natural components of theirs.

  1. Lab-created Opal- Simulated opals are referred to aslab-created opals. In a lab, the mineral composition of simulated opals is created through a process similar to what nature does beneath the earth. Most of the opals are simulated opals.

  1. Lab-created Diamond- It is grown inside a lab by using cutting-edge technology. A Lab-created Diamondprocess replicates the natural diamond growing process. These are not fake diamonds. The hardness of a lab-created diamond is 9.6 and with infused core, the overall hardness is 8.8. This means our hybrid stone is as hard or even slightly harder than a natural Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald.
